Approximately 4pm on Jan 5, 2011...
As many of you may know, Alan Boyd Ricker and Linda Elizabeth Weger were married, oh.... about 2 yrs ago. Well, I never changed my last name due to my application process for school, and then it just seemed inconvenient, and then I just didn't want to. However, I decided that I think we're gonna make it after all (haha) and today at 3:30 pm, I marched into the Social Security office, talked to the lovely man in the sweater vest, and received my new last name. From here on out I will be known as.... dun dun dun.... a RICKER. (I know--I tried to move further up in the alphabet; I was thinking the 'C' range--but what can I say?--I love him.) To celebrate this momentous occasion, I made a special pasta dinner for Alan and we had a wonderful mid-week/post-exams Date Night.
